What’s Making a Difference for Cancer Patients This Month?
Clinicians and ERIC Cancer Playbook
Clinicians are essential partners in the E.R.I.C. Cancer Playbook. Their engagement with patient-reported outcomes strengthens the connection between lived experience and clinical insight, ensuring patients receive informed, compassionate guidance as they navigate treatment and supportive care.
Society of Cannabis Clinicians
Late October, healthcare professionals came together for the SCC 3rd Annual Medical Cannabis Conference, where our team—led by Ryan Castle—emphasized the vital role of patient-reported outcomes. This year’s conference featured sessions centered on case-based learning, emerging protocols, and practical clinical challenges—delivering insights clinicians can immediately apply in their practice.
Institute of Cannabis Research
The Incubator Program with the Institute of Cannabis Research (ICR) provides an exciting opportunity to advance innovative, patient-centered research in medical cannabis. Through this collaboration, teams receive structured support, academic guidance, and access to leading scientific expertise to develop projects that contribute meaningful data to the field. The program helps accelerate research that aligns with WHOI’s mission to strengthen patient-reported outcomes and elevate evidence-based care.
Patient Story of the Month
A FECO Program participant diagnosed in late December 2023 with rectal cancer experienced fatigue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, cold sensitivity, and anxiety related to the cancer and chemotherapy. After incorporating THC FECO into their regimen, they reported significant symptom reduction and consistently indicated that it supported their efforts in managing cancer and improving day-to-day quality of life, giving the highest possible ratings for both measures on every survey. The participant is now celebrating one year in remission.
Help Us Reach Our Monthly Goal: Tell 5 people about our program and help enroll 20 more cancer patients into our FECO Programs in Oklahoma and Colorado.
